Welcome to the 2010-2011 school year at Sunrise Elementary! As the principal of Sunrise, I am proud and excited to be leading the charge into what will be another amazing year for our student, staff, and school community.

At Sunrise Elementary, we are focused and committed to providing a school culture in which every student can thrive and achieve academic, social, and personal success within a safe, nurturing school environment.

As your child’s first teacher, the importance you place on your child arriving on time, reading daily, completing homework, and respecting others will surely have a positive impact on his/her behavior and academic success.

In order to help ensure student success and build a positive school culture, it takes a team effort. As parents, you are a vital part of the Sunrise educational team. Communication, participation, and governance are three features that help to define and build effective parent and community involvement within schools. This year, let’s all work together to enhance and build a stronger Sunrise school community.
